It is a renovation project of the iconic plaza in Luogang Development Zone, Guangzhou. Designers associate the old mall with a neighboring new building, and integrally renovate it into a plaza twice as big as the original. The design upgrades the scale of the plaza, enabling it to regain the dominance in the business circle. The truss structure linking the two buildings plays the role of shelter from sunshine and rain, while providing a spacious public space for the mall. It also forms a gray space or atrium into which passengers are directed before branching into the two commercial buildings.
廣州蘿崗開發區的標誌性商業廣場再設計项目。設計師將老商場與一棟臨近的新建築聯繫到一起,整體改造成原本建築面積兩倍的商業廣場。這樣的設計增大了商業廣場的規模,使之重新奪回商圈內的主導優勢。連接兩棟建築的桁架結構起到遮陽避雨的功能,同時為商場提供了一個寬敞的公共活動空間並形成了一個商業廣場的灰空間中庭,將人流引入此空間後再分流到兩棟商業建築內。
連接兩棟建築的交叉天橋貫穿了兩棟建築的三,四層空間,使整個商業廣場的內部動線更加完整。沖孔鋁板與玻璃幕牆構成的建築外立面,時尚且具有張力,定義了匯贏商業廣場的商業定位,穩固了匯贏在此地區商業廣場中的領先地位。
The footbridge connecting the two buildings passes through their third and fourth floors, completing the passenger routes inside the whole plaza. The façade composed of punched aluminum plates and glass curtain walls is fashionable and dynamic, which defines the commercial positioning of Huiying Plaza and consolidates its leading position in the district.
